Tap

Tap

Tap dance is a type of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.  The sound is made by shoes that have a metal “tap” on the heel and toe.  Types of tap dance include rhythm (jazz), classical, Broadway, and post-modern.  Soft-shoe is a close relative of rhythm tap dancing that does not require tap shoes.  Rhythm is generated by tapping the feet and also by sliding the feet.

Jingle Tap is a little tapping, a little clogging wearing jingle taps.  This class will introduce you to a fun upbeat, energetic way of using a combination of tap skills and clogging skills.  Come learn the basic steps and the rest is learn as you go!
