Hula

The Nani Komohana Tutus (Pretty Western Grandmothers) is a Polynesian dance group that is under the umbrella of the DanceSensations club in Sun City West, AZ.  The group has been active since the mid 1980’s.  It originally started as a fitness club.  The group now performs all over the west Phoenix valley.  In addition to hula, the group does other forms of Polynesian dancing, such as “Tahitian and Maori”.  A few of the venues where the Tutus have performed are:  Benevilla; Brookdale Senior Living centers;  Peoria Community Center; and the Hillcrest Dance club.

Please contact the group’s director (noted below) to schedule a performance for your next luau, Christmas or birthday party.  

The Nani Komohana Tutus are a non-profit organization.

Hula Class Information:

WHERE: Palm Ridge Rec Center’s dance studio–

WHEN:  Advanced Hula – 12:00 – 1:30 PM (Tuesday and Thursday)

Beginners Hula – 1:30 – 2:30 PM (Thursday’s only when active). If interested, please contact Paulette at 623-440-9738 or email dancescw@gmail.com.

Typical class sessions run September thru May (June, July and August we are inactive)
